If you counter a just say no card, does it count as a turn?
The card originally played still counts as one of that player's three actions.
If the Just Say No is in turn countered with a Just Say No, the 2nd card does NOT count as one of the three played Actions.
As such, a Just Say No NEVER counts as an action unless it is played to the bank as money.
Per the Monopoly Deal FAQ, the Just Say No Cards can be used at ANY time and DOES NOT count as one of the 3 cards you can put down since its a reactive card and can be played at any time.

That's what I said.
Is your post link mine or agreeing with it?
I am agreeing with you.
If you want to counter the action given to you by another player on THEIR TURN, its just a counter action that cancels their action, so its not a turn to you since you are playing it OUT of TURN But if its played into your bank, then yes its an action counted I don't think the rules at all allow for a 'just say no' to a 'just say no' card.
A 'just say no' card is not an action card, therefore you cannot 'just say no' to a 'just say no' card.
I think email hasbro is pointless, because they just pick whatever rules make the game the craziest.
Re: Just say no - Can others use it to save you or not?
We had a big argument over the Just Say No rule tonight My wife stole a set of mine but my son wanted to save me so he played a Just Say no out of turn.
My wife argued he cant do that and that only I could save myself with a just say no.
Who is correct here?
Can you only save yourself with a JSN or can others save you as well?
Im in the dog house now because of this I don't think the rules at all allow for a 'just say no' to a 'just say no' card.

If the Hasbro customer support are now saying that the "Just Say No" card can be played by anyone to counteract any Action Card played against someone, then it is opposite to what the card saysabout an "action played against YOU" If the Hasbro customer support are now saying that the "Just Say No" card can be played by anyone to counteract any Action Card played against someone, then it is opposite to what the card saysabout an "action played against YOU" I've been in click at this page that also don't allow JSN to stop 'general' attacks two color rents, it's my birthday because they don't target a player, they target EVERY player.
As such, those groups only permit JSN to be played against targetted Rents, Debt collector and DEAL cards.
I submitted this question to Hasbro and am awaiting their response.
All the other questions seem to have been answered with the updated FAQ on their site: This one question about the use of the JSN cards is still unclear.
If anyone can use it or if anyone can use it to stop ANYONES action.

Given the 'quality' of past responses from Hasbro, I fully expect a completely nonsensical answer.
They FINALLY got back to me today on the Just Say No Cards.
Seems ANYONE can use them at any time, not just the person getting the action.
My question shown below 1st and then their answer in italics text below my posted question.
Salsaguy question - "Thanks for greatly improving the FAQ on Monopoly Deal.
But the FAQ still needs clarification on the Just Say No Cards.
Question - Can ANYONE put down a Just Say No card to counteract any action, even if its not their turn?
Or can only the person who is receiving the action put down a Just Say No to stop the action?
For Example - Its Player A's turn.
Player A charges double the Rent to Player B.
Can player C put down a Just Say No card to protect player Here, even if its not player C's turn and they are not the one who is being charged Rent Player B is being charged rent This is a source of great debate with my family and many on the internet Monopoly Deal discussion groups Please send me the Official USA version answer and post an update to the FAQ for all to see.
Thanks salsaguy" Response from Hasbro: " Thanks for your email about the Monopoly Deal game.
You answers you found are correct.
And the other player could play another Just Say No card to yours if they wanted to.
Just Say No cards are separate and can be used at any time to refuse an Action card.
I remain convinced that Hasbro has outsourced their email answers to Romper Room.
It is all pretty simple.
JUST SAY NO cancels an action card played against you.
Just say no IS an action card unlike what some people said - you can tell by the bold words on top that say 'Action Card'so therefore your can JUST SAY NO a JUST SAY NO card.
However, whenever you play an action card it does not could toward your three move limit.
When people play a rent card that charges everyone and someone plays a JUST SAY NO card it cancels that charge only for the person who played the card, everyone else still pays rent!
Also, If a double the rent card is played with a rent card, or if two double the rent cards are played with with a rent card and someone plays a JUST SAY NO card they simply say no to the rent card that was played against them So the doubling would naturally have no affect.
You cannot play monopoly deal card game rules just say no JUST SAY NO to cancel an action played against another player other than yourself.
They are only for you.
This is a combination of my opinion and Article source posted in the rules and the FAG.
Justantinople, You're absolutely right, it is all pretty simple.
But your totally wrong about one thing.
JUST SAY NO cancels the effect of an action played against you.
It does not cancel the effect against you only, and no one else.
If you JSN an action it dies, and no one is affected.
As written you can only target an action that targets you.
So a rent card that affects all targets everyone, so an individual can JSN it and then "cancel the effect of the action", thus ending it.
No one is affected.
Please don't make up rules as players might be confused with how the card should be played.
This is the type of rule that is better left as a variation on how to play the card.
So yes monopoly deal card game rules just say no is an acceptable variation of playing JSN, to only cancel the effect of the person playing JSN, but it is monopoly deal card game rules just say no how the card is written.
Just say no Rules: Use this card at any time to cancel the effect when another plays any action card against you.
If that player has another Just Say No card, they can use it to cancel yours.
Can also be banked as money.
If that player has another Just Say No card, they can use it to cancel yours.
Can also be banked as money.
Just treat JustSayNo cards much like the CounterSpell card in Magic The Gathering those of u who played MTG will understand.
JustSayNo is an interrupt card which can be played without incurring the 3 card play limit of a player's turn.
I use click at this page regularly as part of attempting to reach 0 cards so that I can draw 5 cards next turn.
Just say no is not one of your actions.
It can only apply to actions affecting you.
As to canceling rent I had previously been told that it cancels rent for you only, however I have resubmitted this question in a more simple and spelled out way to get a clear answer.
The more convoluted your question is the less likely you are to get an answer that makes sense in my experience.
Got my response today.
Same as I got last time.
If I use "Just Say No!
Everyone else still pays rent?
If you place the Just Say No card to cancel the rent.
All other players must still pay the rent.
I had a situation like this: I played a deal breaker, took my friend's set, and he has a JSN but did not use it at the time.
I'd use playground and common sense rules here, I'm not sure there's any game that lets you play out of turn or change your move just so you don't lose.
If my kid tried that I'd explain that being a sore loser makes other people not want to play with you.
If an adult did it, and thought it was OK i.
The rules are ambiguous.
Should the playing of a Just Say No card in response to a JSN card be counted as playing a card by the player whose turn it is?
FOR: It does not say that playing a JSN card should not be considered a played card.
Choosing to read article a JSN card in response to a JSN card is a choice, an action.
It is clearly labelled an action card and playing an action card to the centre is one of the three ways a card can be played during a turn.
Therefore why should it not be counted as on of the controlling players 3 cards played during a turn?
AGAINST: If anyone monopoly deal card game rules just say no play a JSN card when it is not their turn then why can't the controlling player do the same without being penalised.
The intent around this action is not specified within the rules leaving it open to interpretation.
Based on the wording of the rules I am inclined to believe that if the controlling player chooses to play a JSN car to the centre during their turn then it should count as one of their 3 played cards in that turn.

Another option is to play the full set onto the board using wild cards, but to keep the set broken up by making the wild card part of a different set. Of course, if you are holding two β€œJust Say No” cards, you could safely play a complete set. You’d just have to hold the JSNs for the Deal Breaker.

If the Just Say No is in turn countered with a Just Say No, the 2nd card does NOT count as one of the three played Actions.
As such, a Just Say No NEVER counts as an action unless it is played to monopoly deal card game rules just say no bank as money.

That's what I said.
Is your post contradicting mine or agreeing with it?

If the Hasbro customer support are now saying that the "Just Say No" card can be played by anyone to counteract any Action Card played against someone, then it is opposite to what the card saysabout an "action played against YOU" Monopoly deal card game rules just say no the Hasbro customer support are now saying that the "Just Say No" card can be played by anyone to counteract any Action Card played against someone, then it is opposite to what the card saysabout an "action played against YOU" I've been in groups that also don't allow JSN to stop 'general' attacks two color rents, it's my birthday because they don't target a player, they target EVERY player.

Can player C put down a Just Say No card to protect player B, even if its not player C's turn and they are not the one who is being charged Rent Player B is being charged rent This is a source of great debate monopoly deal card game rules just say no my family and many on the internet Monopoly Deal discussion groups Please send me the Official Click to see more version answer and https://davpon.ru/game-rules/poker-game-names-rules.html an update to the FAQ for all to see.
When people play a rent card that click the following article everyone and someone plays a JUST SAY NO card it cancels that charge only for the person who played the card, everyone else still pays rent!
Also, If a double the rent card is played with a rent card, or if two double the rent cards are played with with a rent card and someone plays a JUST SAY NO card they simply say no to the rent card that was played against them So the doubling would naturally have no affect.
You cannot play a JUST SAY NO to cancel an action played against another player other than yourself.
They are only for you.
This is a combination of my opinion and Rule posted in the rules and the FAG.
So yes it is an acceptable variation of playing JSN, to only cancel the effect of the person playing JSN, but it is not how the card is written.
Just say no Rules: Use this card at any time to cancel the effect when another plays any action card against you.
If that player has another Just Say No card, they can use it to cancel yours.
Can also be banked as money.

Just treat JustSayNo cards much like the CounterSpell card in Magic The Gathering those of u who played MTG will understand.
JustSayNo is an interrupt card which can be played without incurring the 3 card play limit of a player's turn.
I use it regularly as part of attempting to reach 0 cards so that I can draw 5 cards next turn.
I'd use playground and common sense rules here, I'm not sure there's any game that https://davpon.ru/game-rules/funskool-scotland-yard-board-game-rules.html you play out of turn or change your move just so you don't lose.
Choosing to play a JSN card in response to a JSN card is a choice, an action.
It is clearly labelled an action card and playing an action card to the centre is one of the three ways a card can be played during a turn.
Therefore why should it not be counted as on of the controlling players 3 cards played during a turn?
AGAINST: If anyone can play a JSN card when it is not their turn then why can't the controlling player do the same without being penalised.
The intent around this action is not specified within the rules leaving it monopoly deal card game rules just say no to interpretation.
Based on the wording of the rules I am inclined to believe that if the controlling player chooses to play a JSN car to the centre during their turn then it should count as one of their 3 played cards in that turn.
